Airwalk

Back in the Nineties, Airwalk was the sneaker of choice for skateboarders the world over. But as the 2000s progressed, they found themselves falling out of favour. That’s when they approached us for some advertising to help them change perception. We came back to them with the Invisible Pop Up Store.

Back in the Nineties, Airwalk was the sneaker of choice for skateboarders the world over. But as the 2000s progressed, they found themselves falling out of favour.

That’s when they approached us for some advertising to help them change perception. We came back to them with the Invisible Pop Up Store.

The Invisible Pop Up Store used augmented reality and geo-location, combined with a geo-fenced retail function, to create a pop-up store wherever a brand wanted it to appear. It meant that Airwalk could create an exclusive sale for their classic Airwalk Jim in invisible stores smack bang in Washington Square, NYC, and along Venice Beach, LA. The following film explains the project in more detail.
